The Red Vic B&B is more than just a historic hotel. The proprietor has designed each of the 18 guest rooms to inspire, amuse, relax or enliven its occupants. The Peacock Suite honors the winged creatures of the world. Besides a canopied king bed, it also has two divan beds in the sitting room, and it is appointed with stained glass windows, a Persian Temple light, an antique electric fireplace and a small corner shrine. The Sunshine Room features a canopied queen bed, and it is decorated with the colors of sunrise and sunset. The Golden Gate Park celebrates the 3 mile long park behind the hotel. The Friends room is reputed to be the "most friendly room" at this inn, with bay windows looking out over Haight Street. A complimentary, continental breakfast is served each morning.
