As its name indicates, the Catalonia Duques de Bergara is a refined hotel with beautiful Modernist dTcor and architecture that lend it an historic, aristocratic atmosphere. The hotel was renovated in 1998 and is located next to Placa Catalunya and the Ramblas, real key centers in Barcelona. This Modernist building was built in 1898 by the famous architect Emilio Salas y Cortes (a professor of Gaudi). The entry hall with the marble staircase leading to the first floor has been preserved from the main building.
